James co-founded BlueWater Capital in 2020 and brings over 15 years’ real estate investment experience. James oversees all transactions and assets under management, focusing on sourcing, structuring, and financing our acquisitions.
Prior to co-founding BlueWater Capital James was a Director in CBRE’s Operational Real Estate team where he oversaw and advised on over £3.5bn of investments into the healthcare and education sectors on behalf of institutional and private clients. Previously, James was an asset manager at NB Real Estate.
James is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a member of the Investment Property Forum. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Reading University.

Mitchell co-founded BlueWater Capital in 2020 and brings over 10 years’ experience in fixed income and real estate investment. Mitchell oversees origination and structuring, with a focus on creating inflation-linked, high-credit, matching adjustment eligible products for our pension fund and insurer clients.
Prior to co-founding BlueWater Capital Mitchell was a Director in CBRE’s Long Income Advisory team where he advised on and regularly valued over £1.5 bn of long income investments on behalf of UK institutions, covering over 80% of the market by value. He also spent time in CBRE’s Operational Real Estate team. Prior to entering real estate, Mitchell was a product specialist at IRESS Wealth Management Solutions and an Analyst at Providence Wealth in Australia.
Mitchell holds a BSc in Business Administration from Macquarie University, Sydney.
Senior Advisor
Mitch has 27 years of experience in banking and finance. He joined BlueWater Capital in 2024 as a Senior Advisor.
He was previously Global Head of Strategic Lending at Deutsche Bank in the Asset & Wealth Management division, where he set up and managed the Private Credit book. He was additionally responsible for EMEA Real Estate Lending and managing the balance sheet of DB UK Bank. He spent time at Nomura as Co-Head of EMEA Financing & Solutions and was a member of the Global Investment Banking Management Committee.
Earlier in his career, he was Head of EMEA Emerging Markets Coverage & Sales in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodity (FICC) division at Bank of America. Mitch also spent a significant part of his career in Asia, including as Head of Structuring at Merrill Lynch, Asia Pacific. He moved to Singapore and later Hong Kong with Credit Suisse First Boston, relocating from Credit Suisse Financial Products in London.
Mitch is a CFA charterholder. He holds a BSc in Chemistry from Imperial College, London, and an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from LSE.

Daniel is a successful private infrastructure investor, banker and fund manager who comes with over 20 years’ experience across finance, infrastructure and renewables. Daniel is currently co-founder and co-CEO at IREN (formerly known as Iris Energy), a NASDAQ listed sustainable data infrastructure company. He is also a founding shareholder and Board member of the EV charging infrastructure network, JOLT, supported and funded by Blackrock Real Assets.
Daniel was previously the 2nd largest individual shareholder in Palisade Investment Partners ($6 billion AUM, direct infrastructure assets across 23 businesses). Daniel has extensive board experience spanning airports, ports, gas pipelines, bulk liquid storage businesses, waste treatment facilities, wind and solar farms.
Prior to joining Palisade, Daniel specialised in M&A advisory, debt structuring and principal investment with Macquarie Capital across Sydney and London.
Daniel holds a Masters of Finance (Dean’s List) from the INSEAD Business School and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Chris is a seasoned renewable energy developer, owner and operator in Europe and Australia. He is also an active private investor.
Chris founded both Baltic Wind, developing large scale wind farm projects in Europe from greenfield to operations, and Mithra Energy, developing 10+ solar PV projects in Poland since 2012. He was the Project Development Director and commercial development partner of Photon Energy, with a major solar PV pipeline under development in Australia.
Chris sits on NASDAQ listed Iris Energy’s board of directors and is a founding partner of Polipo Ventures.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney and an MBA in Energy Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Karol is a veteran investor within the European commercial real estate market having transacted over €3.5bn of assets since 2004. He is currently the CEO of Futureal Investment Partners, a real estate investment and asset management business focusing on value-add and opportunistic investments across Europe.
Previously, Karol was Head of CEE region at Cromwell Property Group and has held senior positions at GE Capital Real Estate, Aareal Bank A.G. and ING Real Estate Investment Management.
Karol holds an independent board position with listed residential developer Polnord S.A. and has held non-executive board membership at Ronson Development B.V.
